Sported April Update

What a month! It’s been a busy time with the return of organised sport in England. We hope that if you’ve restarted your face-to-face sessions, that you’ve had a great time welcoming everyone back.

We’ve had a great response to our new Time In Mind campaign and the training sessions booked up fast. Keep an eye out for new dates being announced. This month we also released our longitudinal study of the effect of the pandemic on grassroots sports groups using responses from over 900 of our members – thank you if you were a part of those surveys and focus groups.

This month’s newsletter includes:

  • Our latest Community Pulse to tell us how you’re getting on
  • Upcoming webinars
  • Brush up on the latest government guidance
  • An opportunity to say thank you to your Sported volunteer
  • Get your hands on some free cycling helmets
  • Helpful links, training and information from other sports organisations

While we get The Sported Hub ready to launch, Your Sported Network is still there with all your downloadable resources, events info and all the Sported benefits and services. There’s also the Sported Member Facebook Group where we post new funding opportunities, and anything else that may be of interest.

We’re also loving the videos and pictures you’re sharing via social media, so do keep sharing them with us on Twitter and Instagram.

Community Pulse

We’re committed to giving you the support you need as things begin to open up. Using the results from previous Community Pulse surveys, we’ve ensured that webinars, resources, and online workshops available have reflected the issues you’ve been facing.

That’s why we’ll be asking you to take a few minutes and complete a new Community Pulse when restrictions and / or circumstances change, to give us a snapshot of how you’re feeling and how you’re getting on. Your input is crucial to ensure that we’re offering the support that you need going forward.

Fill in the latest Community Pulse below before Friday 30th April.

If you would prefer to have a chat with us, your Regional Manager is available via e-mail or phone to talk through any concerns. If you’re not sure how to contact them, just let us know and we’ll put you in touch.
